Total Campus Buildings Area

Universitas Andalas covers a total building area of 722,994 square meters, offering a wide array of facilities that embody its commitment to academic excellence, research advancement, and student creativity. At the heart of its vibrant campus stand key facilities such as the Rectorate Building, Auditorium, Convention Hall, Central Library, Central Laboratory, Mosque, and Student Creativity Center, all interconnected through a series of shared academic buildings labeled A to J that serve as the core of daily academic activities.

The university comprises 16 faculties, including Agriculture, Medicine, Law, Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Economics and Business, Animal Husbandry, Humanities, Social and Political Sciences, Engineering, Pharmacy, Agricultural Technology, Nursing, Public Health, Dentistry, Information Technology, and the Postgraduate School. Together, these faculties create a multidisciplinary academic ecosystem that supports both education and research across diverse fields of study.

To accommodate its comprehensive academic programs, Universitas Andalas provides 168 shared lecture rooms, distributed throughout its faculties and diploma programs. These include lecture halls, classrooms, and project rooms organized by capacity: small rooms for up to 40 students, medium-sized rooms for 40–60 students, and large lecture theatres that can host more than 100 students. Each building—from A to J—is carefully designed to foster dynamic learning and collaboration. Among them, Buildings I, E, and F are equipped with advanced facilities and modern technology, making them ideal for seminars, workshops, and scholarly events. Altogether, these features form an integrated learning environment that enhances the educational experience and academic vitality of Universitas Andalas.
