Organic Waste Processing at Andalas University

Organic waste processing at Andalas University is carried out at the Integrated Waste Processing Center (PPST). Waste originating from the remaining leaves at Andalas University is processed at PPST to be used as a product, one of which is compost.

Universitas Andalas (Unand) has processed organic waste (food waste and yard waste) with the composting process at the compost house located at PPST Unand. Composting takes two weeks in a rotary kiln composter. The solid compost produced meets the compost quality standards. Compost is not only used in their own environment but also sold to the general public.
