Health Infrastructure Facilities

Unand Hospital is a State University Hospital (RSPTN) which is under the management of Universitas Andalas. The hospital is located in the Unand Limau Manis campus complex, Pauh sub-district, Padang city, West Sumatra. This hospital stands on 3.5 Ha of land with a building area of 21,306 m2 and was built with funds from the Islamic Development Bank (IDB).

Planning for this hospital began in 2006 in connection with the policy for the establishment of tertiary hospitals and the limited educational facilities in the main teaching hospital in the city ( M. Djamil Hospital) Through various processes and stages, the foundation stone for the hospital was laid on March 29, 2014 by the Deputy Minister of National Education, Prof. Dr. Ir. Musliar Kasim, MS who is also the former Chancellor of Universitas Andalas.

This hospital was built with 200 beds and is facilitated with fairly complete facilities and infrastructure that have been adapted to applicable laws and regulations. The facilities at this hospital are very complete, with superior programs in malignancies and gastrointestinal diseases. Services include outpatient services, inpatient services, operating room services, emergency room services, pharmaceutical installations, referral patient services, ICU services, ambulances, supporting services (radiology, laboratory and nutrition) and are equipped with very modern radiotherapy facilities.
