The Zero Emission Vehicles (ZEV) Policy on Campus is considered and stated in Unand Transportation Master Plan, which has included the use of electric vehicles as one of the future options.

On 22 December 2023, Unand received an electric car offered by Unand's partner bank which was used as an operational vehicle by Unand Public Relations. To accelerate the growth of the electric vehicle ecosystem, PT PLN (Persero) Padang Customer Service Implementation Unit (UP3) collaborates with Andalas University to present the first Public Electric Vehicle Charging Station (SPKLU) at Andalas University which is located in the courtyard of the Nurul Ilmi Mosque, Andalas University Campus, Padang.
